“HCA Health Services of Tennessee has purchased 26.63 acres of property in Mt. Juliet on Beckwith Road, according to property records.
The property is next to the TriStar Mt. Juliet ER, a full-service emergency room. TriStar Mt. Juliet ER is at 100 Wilfong Parkway near Beckwith Road, just south of Interstate 40.
Tristar is a division of HCA Healthcare. No specific project was revealed by HCA.
“We purchase land from time to time for potential use in the future,” HCA Healthcare TriStar division spokesperson Anna-Lee Cockrill said. “We don’t have any plans for the property at this time.”
The company bought the property for $21 million, according to the Wilson County Assessor of Property record of the sale. The property was appraised for just under $2 million, according to the property assessor’s office records.
“It appears HCA has plans for a bigger presence in Mt. Juliet,” City Commissioner Scott Hefner said. “I think acquiring that much property tells me they have plans to expand.”
